Today I decided to finally end a few month long hook up with a guy I've been seeing. It finally came down to me realizing us being boyfriend and girlfriend wasn't going to happen anytime soon. Although tonight I ended it on my terms and in a way that was pleasing one of the very last texts he sent me made me go "bleh".

"...sweet nice girls are less intimidating I guess."

Suck.

Although I informed him that he never gave me a chance to be sweet or nice and I got in the last sarcastic joke...I'm a tiny bit upset about it. Because it seems most guys feel that way about me.

Men are pieces of shit.

Jesus is coming. No really guys.

So I haven't updated in a while and I have no excuse for it. But I'm not going to apologize for it either. Christmas was wonderful and we all got some good presents. I got into my first car accident, which was really intense, and went snowboarding a few times with a lot of powder. All in all it was a successful vacation.

Anyway, today I found out that some Christians have "figured out" through biblical math and some Godly sixth sense aka having no life, that Christ is coming back to Earth on May 21st, 2011. So, friends and family, please schedule that in to your personal calendars.

If you go to the website you are instantly bombarded with biblical references proving... well not really proving anything. I started reading through the paragraphs of information, trying to decipher the math equation and biblical jargon. However, after much time and effort, I came to the conclusion that no one really knew what they were talking about. Matthew 24:36 also came to mind: But of that day and hour knoweth no [man], no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

Even with that in mind...I'm still excited to "mark" it in my planner.

Another Brick in the Wall

After 6 hours of sitting in the airport, I finally made it home for Thanksgiving. Traditionally, Thanksgiving is a time for turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and football. This year my family and I decided to do a nontraditional Thanksgiving (seeing how only one of us like turkey or potatoes) and we celebrated the holiday with football and Mexican food instead. Tacos, bean dip, salsa, and enchiladas to be exact. I made these enchiladas:

Friday night we went and saw Roger Water's The Wall live at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Pink Floyd is a family favorite so we had a lot of fun, not to mention it was a great show.

Airports are for sitting.

With midterms, projects, and everything else due today I spent last night cleaning, packing, and completing my stats midterm. At three in the morning I received a text from one of my many current event news sources saying that North Korea fired artillery on South Korea. South Korea fired back (using less than half the amount of shells that North Korea dished out) and I spent the next hour texting my political science friends...happy to rub in the fact that I knew about this "belligerent attack" hours before BBC could even post it on their website. It may be snobby, but poli sci students are very competitive and I am not afraid to take every presented opportunity that allows me to squish them beneath my adorable black boots as I climb the hierarchy ladder that is HASS at Utah State. I also made a bet that South Korea, who at the time I received the information was going into "cabinet meetings" to decide the best form of response, would choose to waste this opportunity and only threaten a future attack. South Korea Pretty Much Does Nothing

After finally packing, cleaning, and going to bed I was ready to finish my classes and travel home for Thanksgiving break. However, I received a USU emergency call at 11 saying that campus would be closed after 2pm due to an incoming "severe blizzard". Although my flight was not until 6.40pm, I quickly packed and set off for SLC at 2pm to insure I did not get stuck in Sardine Canyon in a white-out blizzard. Upon arriving to Centerville, UT I received a notification email that my flight was cancelled due to weather conditions.

Currently in Starbucks at 4pm, I have a flight to Vegas at 8.40 pm (Yay! Only 5 more hours to go). On the bright side, I am online chatting with friends, listening to my free Starbucks-provided iTunes song "Angel Dance" by Robert Plant, and spying on customers.

The couple on a first date next to me are sharing stories and insights from their "alcoholics anonymous" class and the cute tall man waiting for his chi latte caught me taking a picture of him. Starbucks is closing early (apparently the blizzard will be here in 15 mins) and I am off to the airport now.... Maybe my flight tonight will not be cancelled and I will be able to get home by 10pm tonight..... and maybe South Korea will grow a pair and take this chance to wipe Kim Jong-il off this earth. Not likely. Wish me a safe flight.

Summer Fun

So a lot of things happened over summer vacation. Ian got a mohawk....

My roommate Emily was married to Chris Waite....

I had a lot of fun in Logan/Wyoming cliff jumping, white water rafting, and other summer fun...

And I watched Star Wars a lot with my friends...

I miss the warm weather =/

USU vs. BYU

71 to 61. That's how much we owned the Cougs. For the first and most of the second half of the game we were behind. However, after the Aggies stepped it up a bit, we ended the night in a roaring victory. I'm glad I got into the Spectrum. The doors opened at six and by 6.15 no more students were allowed in. It made for a great night.

Graduation

Graduation was last week, and I am sooo glad to be done! =)
